Headquartered in San Francisco, United States, this non-governmental organisation focuses on governance, women’s empowerment and gender equality, economic development and inclusive economic growth. Since their incorporation in 1954, the organisation has launched multiple programmes in the Asia region to empower micro, small and medium-sized (MSME) entrepreneurs to level the playing field, especially in this digital era. As part of this series, the programme seeks to connect and mentor MSME entrepreneurs with their regional peers to increase the digital literacy, promote economic growth and build a peer community of entrepreneurs.

  • Developed a social network of entrepreneurs focused on ASEAN for professional networking and career development

  • Speaker series reached out to more than 60,000 MSME entrepreneurs (70% women owned MSMEs and 60% trainees from rural/peri-urban areas)
  • Connected MSMEs to industry experts for entrepreneurial mentorship
